Kiddle Miss - Adopted October 2004 |
Kiddle Miss is a 4yo TB donated due to her
inability to breed. Kiddle Miss was immediately adopted by her foster
family along with Georgie. Her foster Dad says those two are a matched
pair and he loves to watch them.

General - Adopted October 2004 |
General came to us as a donation
approximately 2 weeks ago. A true General he is! Blind in one eye and
has arthritis in his rear legs, so that when he walks, it looks like he
marches. General is 35 years old and was adopted his first week. We know
his new family will love him the rest of his days.

Georgie - Adopted October 2004 |
Georgie aka "Seeking An Aquittal" was
donated to Hopeful Haven from the racetrack. He had an old bowed tendon,
but is a beautiful riding horse. He's been gelded and will make a great
trail horse. The sire of this beauty was an $80,000 horse. We knew this
beauty wouldn't last long...good luck Georgie with you new family and
friends!

Lilly - Adopted October 2004 |
Lilly is a 14 yo mare, breed unkn. She
was extremely emaciated and loaded with bloodworms.
Lilly came to Hopeful Haven as a
confiscation in Oberlin with the sheriffs dept and livestock
commissioner. She has good ground manners and a good personality.
She's good with vet, but not with farrier because she was abused with a
rasp. She has come along way and now is living a very comfortable life
with her new family.

Big Sun - Adopted October 2004 |
"Big Sun" is a 16.2 hands beautiful Bay
9 year old Thoroughbred who was taken to the sale barn as a compromise
with law enforcement officials after having been found extremely
emaciated (2.5 on Henneke Scale). He has made a full recovery and is
now very happy! He rides, loads, farriers, catches and halters easily
and will be very happy in his new home.

Comanche - Adopted October 2004 |
Comanche is a 15 yo registered paint horse. She was donated to us with her colt who went over the rainbow bridge the second day we had her. Comanche isn't ridable but She would make a great pasture mate. She is gentle and loving, and no bad vices known. Good luck in your new home Comanche! |

Dart - Adopted July 2004 |
"Dart" An approximately 20 yo Gelding Quarter Horse who stands 16 hands and weights around 1100lbs has been adopted by a loving home in Waskom, Texas. Dart was donated to HHERO by his previous owner. He was previously an excellent Hunter/Jumper. Dart has excellent ground manners and is very gentle in nature. He does well with Farrier and vet. He is ridable, but has days were he doesn't like to be ridden. Good luck in your new home! |

Sparky - Adopted July 2004 |
Sparky is a 4 year old red Dun ....he came to HHERO a one (1) on the henneke scale, he has come a long way and still has plenty of Spark in him...this sweet horse has been adopted by his foster home. You go Sparky and have a wonderful life in your new home! |

Sweetie Pie - Adopted June 2004 |
"Sweetie Pie" 9 yo old Quarter Horse mare with excellent ground manners. She was handed over to law enforcement to avoid persecution after being found emaciated (2.5 on Henneke scale) and neglected along with 4 other horses. Two have been re-homed and 2 were humanely euthanized due to their poor condition and age. Sweetie Pie was sound other than being extremely underweight. She is in the care of a loving home and has been making progress. Her foster family has adopted her and she is now living a happy life. |

Zeb - Adopted March 2004 |
"Zeb" is a registered quarter horse gelding. He is very gentle and was trained to barrel and rope. He has found a loving permanent home with his foster family. He is very happy in his new home and will live a very comfortable life there. |

Brandy - Adopted January 2004 |
"Brandy" is a 7 Year Old Thoroughbred. She was donated to HHERO in October 2003. She has a very sweet disposition and gets alone well with her new pasture mates. She has started training and show lots of potential. Brandy is very happy at her new home in north Louisiana. |

Mr. Bill - Adopted January 2004 |
"Mr. Bill" Mr. Bill is an 11-year old Thoroughbred Gelding retired from the racetrack approximately one year ago. He suffered a bowed tendon which ended his racing career. He is approximately 15.2 hands tall and weighs approximately 1200 pounds...as of June 1,174 lbs. He will make a good companion horse for his new owners who are in south Louisiana. |

Belle now "Molly" - Adopted July 2003 |
"Belle" Molly, a 25+ year old registered (not confirmed) , Quarter Horse Mare, who stands 15 hands and weighs as of June, 821 lbs., has been adopted by her foster home. She is doing well and is still gaining weight. Her new home has plenty of company seeing that it is a cattle ranch. She has adapted well to her new home and will live out a very comfortable and happy life there. |

Truman's Commander - Adopted June 2003 |
"Truman's Commander" a 4-year old Thoroughbred Gelding, approximately 15.0 hands tall and weighs approximately 950 pounds. He was being trained for the racetrack and suffered a pulled rear-leg tendon and a knee injury which ended his racing career. He will continue to be monitored and treated for his injuries by his new owners, a HHERO volunteer family. He is fitting in well with his new family and is a very happy horse. |

Clever Seven - Adopted June 2003 |
"Clever Seven" Three year old Thoroughbred Gelding, 15.1 hands. This big man was donated to HHERO on March 2, 2003. He had a chip on his right knee which has healed enough for light riding. With time he will be completely healed and make for a nice riding horse. He was adopted by one of our volunteer families and is a great addition to their family. |

"Bonnie Chance" (pronounced Bow-nay Sh-aw-nce) became the newest family member of HHERO volunteer! She will continue to have her bowed tendon monitored and healed and be a great addition to her new family! |

"Poco has finally found a home!" Poco won the heart of a wonderful family who will love and take care of him. We will miss you little man! |

Prince Avery- Adopted October 2002 |
"Prince Avery" is a 16.1 hands, 4 yr. TB gelding fresh off the racetrack. He was donated by his owner to avoid further injury to a small tendon injury on his front left tendon. His tendon has since then, completely healed and he's as good as new. Mild mannered and willing to learn new things, Prince Avery has been adopted out to a permanent and loving home! |
